Client
The client is one of the world’s largest payment gateway companies that provides payment solutions to online merchants. With global operations spanning 17 markets, their on-premise hosting wasn’t facilitating them to scale dynamically during high-traffic peaks. The client decided to migrate their core applications from their existing data center to the AWS cloud.
Problem
The challenge was to migrate 400+ VM’s in just 3 months to support the annual sale of two of the largest e-commerce players (A Walmart Company) & (World’s 4th largest Smartphone Manufacturer). They were required to handle 8000+ transaction per second at the database level with improved reliability and automated scalability, which their existing on-premise setup could not deliver.
Outcome
We were able to successfully migrate all the key business applications within the planned downtime limit
The database was successfully migrated from MYSQL to RDS Aurora
The client was able to achieve the required scalability and security needed
